Get the Most
Out of Pandly

Short, practical walkthroughs for setting up and running your dashboard correctly.

Connect Shopify with OAuth
One-time setup ยท takes about a minute
  1. 1

Enter your Shopify store URL on the connection screen.

  2. 2

You'll be taken to Shopify โ€” click Install app to authorize the connection.

  3. 3

Head back to Pandly and click Manual Sync with Shopify. This imports your store's data for the first time.

  4. 4

From here on, any change you make in Shopify is picked up automatically by our webhook and reflected in your dashboard โ€” no need to sync manually again.

Fix a Product's $0 Cost Price
Do this for every new product before trusting its profit numbers
  1. 1

New products start with a cost price of $0 until you set one โ€” this will understate their true cost until fixed.

  2. 2

Go to Warehouse and select the product you want to update.

  3. 3

Scroll down to the Cost Price field and enter the correct value.

  4. 4

Pandly will show a warning listing every existing order that used this product at the old cost, with a field to update the cost line for all of those orders at once.

โš ๏ธ Skipping this step means past orders keep using the old (often $0) cost, which inflates historical profit โ€” always apply the update to existing orders when prompted.

Track Credits & Expenses
Makes sure nothing eating your margin goes untracked
  1. 1

Go to Credits & Expenses in your dashboard.

  2. 2

Add in all your monthly, yearly, or one-time expenses โ€” app memberships, tools, contractors, anything that puts a minus in your books.

  3. 3

Set the frequency for each entry so Pandly can prorate it correctly against your revenue.

  4. 4

These are automatically folded into your true net profit, right alongside COGS and ad spend.
